Environmental Tips for Everyday Situations


All Natural Ant Repellant
  • Mix equal amount of water and vinegar into a spray bottle and use on infected areas or areas where ants would be common and can enter. It can also be used outdoors in areas before a family gathering.
  • Epsom salt pour onto hills and sites
Clean Cleaners
Windows and Mirrors
  • Dissolve a little baking soda in water
  • Wash, rinse and polish as usual
Sink and Tub
  • Take half a lemon, dip it in borax and rub it on stains
  • Then rinse with cold water
    (You can buy borax in the laundry section of your supermarket)
Counter
  • Try a little vinegar mixed in warm water
  • Wash and rinse
Toilet
  • Use baking soda or a little mild dishwashing detergent
  • Scrub the toilet with the brush
Drains
  • Pour 25 ml (2 tbsp.) baking soda down the drain
  • Then pour in 25 ml vinegar
  • Leave for 15 minutes, then run hot water down the drain
Salt buildup (Containers)
  • Pour a little vinegar mixed with warm water
  • Let sit and rinse
Hair
  • Use old toothbrush to pick up hair on floors, tubs and other surfaces
